RE8 Village and RE9 share the Winters family thread. RE8 followed Ethan Winters in Romania. RE9 follows Grace Ashcroft in the USA, but Mia Winters appears in the helicopter cameo (EW-2017). Both continue the Eveline mystery. RE9 references RE8 lightly — you can play RE9 without RE8, but you’ll miss connections.
