The Mortal Edge is RE9’s best melee weapon — S-tier parry tool with the most forgiving parry window in the franchise. Surpasses the Hatchet thanks to higher base stats. Required for knife-only Insanity runs. Paired with Knife Edge charm, it becomes a viable primary weapon.
