Before engaging Mr. X / Super Tyrant on Insanity NG+, equip the recommended charm loadout and stock the recommended weapons. This fight punishes underprepared players.

Required charm loadout (Insanity NG+)

• Crafter’s Touch — ammo crafting +25%
• Iron Skin — -15% damage reduction
• Phoenix Down — revive once per chapter at 50% HP
• 4th NG+ slot: Marksman’s Eye OR Survivor’s Will based on phase

Required weapons

• Requiem Revolver T3 + Infinite Magnum charm (NG+ unlock)
• W870 Police shotgun T3 for close phases
• Mortal Edge for parry timing
• Clatter Carbine T2 as backup DPS

Frame-perfect timing data

Each boss has specific attack windows requiring sub-second precision. Practice on Standard difficulty first to memorize the patterns, then attempt Insanity NG+ with confidence.

Common Insanity NG+ mistakes

• Not equipping Phoenix Down — One mistake = death without it
• Healing mid-phase — Wastes spray, phase transitions reset arena
• Wrong weapon for phase — Match weapon to mechanic
• Panic parries — Mistimed parry = punishment damage

Insanity-only rewards

Defeating Mr. X / Super Tyrant on Insanity NG+ unlocks specific audio logs, codex entries, and trophy progress. Many players miss these because they only play Standard difficulty.
